Robert Young

Manager, Quality Assurance at TraceLink

Robert Young has a diverse range of work experience, spanning over 25 years. Robert began their career in 1992 as a Data Analyst at Duracell. Robert then moved on to work as an SQA Engineer at Watermark Software, ScanSoft, and Groove Networks from 1995 to 2001. In 2002, Young became an SQA Engineer at SoftWorld Inc, where they worked until 2005. Following this, they joined Omtool LTD as an SQA Engineer and was responsible for testing device integration and DMS Providers with Omtool's AccuRoute products until 2013.

In 2014, Young worked as an SQA Manager at Udiosoft, where they focused on developing test plans for custom web applications built on a SharePoint backend. Robert also worked as a Software Quality Engineer and Team Leader at TraceLink from 2014 to 2016, where they oversaw a team of Software Quality Engineers and SDETs and was responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality for the TraceLink Life Sciences Cloud.

Currently, Young is the Manager of Quality Assurance at TraceLink, leading and participating in all phases of the SDLC, testing patches and customer-specific projects, reviewing daily goals/status reports of Software QA Engineers, organizing team meetings and trainings, and conducting yearly reviews and appraisals.

Robert Young attended Northern Essex from 1988 to 1991 and earned an Associates of Business Management degree in Business Administration and Management. Robert then enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1992 to 1993, where they studied Chemical Engineering. From 1993 to 1995, they attended Franklin Pierce University and pursued a field of study in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, although they did not earn a degree during this time.
