Tracer
João Ferreira has worked as a Data Scientist at Tracer since the year 2022.
Before that, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Research Assistant at DCC-FCUP. Their main project was developing an algorithm that links entities in text to concepts in a knowledge base, specifically in the context of autonomous driving. Their responsibilities included studying the concept of Entity Linking and focusing on text generated from images.
Prior to that, from 2019 to 2020, João worked as a Research Assistant at ITI - Instituto de Tecnologias Interativas. João was involved in a project where they created and developed a questionnaire comparing household appliances in terms of sustainable development, such as electrical consumption and carbon emissions. João also developed the system using Python and the Django web framework.
João Ferreira completed their Master's degree in Data Science at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Computer Engineering from Universidade da Madeira from 2017 to 2020.
In terms of additional certifications, João Ferreira obtained a certification in Dataiku Core Designer from Dataiku in January 2023.
