Mike Starr

Mike Starr has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mike is currently the Founder & CEO of trackd, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Fortinet as the Director, Product Owner, SASE from July 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining Fortinet, Mike held multiple roles at OPĀQ, including Product Owner, SASE from February 2019 to July 2020, and Director Of Infrastructure from June 2017 to July 2020.

From November 2016 to June 2017, Mike worked at IronNet Cybersecurity as a Consulting Engineer, Sales, and previously as an Infrastructure Lead from August 2015 to November 2016.

Mike started their career at the National Security Agency as a Network Engineer from January 2013 to August 2015. Additionally, Mike also worked at Apple Retail as a Family Room Specialist from March 2013 to April 2015.

Prior to these roles, they worked as a Contractor - NOC Engineer at Sybase, an SAP Company from July 2012 to January 2013, where they monitored and maintained Cisco networking devices and assisted in vulnerability assessments. Mike also served at the US Department of Homeland Security in the Office of the General Counsel from May 2011 to May 2012.

In their early career, Mike worked at Alfred State College as a Lead Help Desk Technician from May 2009 to December 2011.

Mike Starr attended Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology from 2008 to 2012. During this time, they pursued a Bachelors of Technology degree with a specialization in Network Administration. Mike also completed a minor in Information Assurance.
