Firmware Engineer at Trackonomy Systems

Joshua Sam has a diverse work background, starting with their most recent role as a Firmware Engineer for a venture-backed stealth startup from May 2022. Prior to this, they had a RF Software Engineer Intern role with NETGEAR in 2021, and a Software Intern (QA and Test Automation) position in 2020 with Copperleaf Technologies. Joshua also has experience as a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor at The University of British Columbia, a Cadets Sergeant - Drill and First Aid Instructor with St. John Ambulance BC/ Yukon, and a Summer Research Intern at Delfi Medical Innovations Inc. In 2016, they participated as a Shad Fellow with the SHAD Network.

Joshua Sam is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at The University of British Columbia, with their expected graduation year being 2023. Prior to this, they attended John Oliver Secondary School from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, Joshua has obtained certifications such as an Amateur Radio License with Honours from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada in July 2018, and an Advanced Medical First Responder (AMFR) and Healthcare Provider (HCP) certifications from St. John Ambulance BC/ Yukon in April 2017.
