Joseph Ickmans

Joseph Ickmans currently serves as the Chairman of the Digitalisation and BIM Committee at the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations and is a Board Member at ABTUS-BVOTS, a Belgian association focused on underground technologies and urban planning. Since August 2010, Joseph has been the Manager of Tunnel Projects in Urban General Management at TRACTEBEL, where responsibilities include overseeing major tunnel projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, Joseph has held roles such as BIM Advisor, Competence Center Director for Structural Engineering, and BIM Implementation Manager within the organization. Previously, Joseph worked as a Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager at Tebodin Consultants & Engineers and as a Lead Engineer in Steel Structures at ESBE. Joseph Ickmans holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven.
