Ken Kolchier

Ken Kolchier is the current Chief Technology Officer at Trade Technologies, Inc. Prior to their current position, Ken Kolchier served as the Head of Software Engineering at Foundry Brands from February 2022 to August 2022. In this role, they were responsible for helping the new startup implement foundational processes for product and engineering, software integrations, and forward momentum of delivery. Ken also served as the Director of Product Engineering at Convo Communications from June 2021 to October 2021 and as an Architecture Specialist Consultant at MCG Health from February 2021 to May 2021.

Ken Kolchier has been working in the technology field for over 20 years. Ken began their career as a independent consultant before becoming the Director of Solution/System Architecture and Delivery for DSS at MCG Health in October 2019. In this role, they were responsible for driving the company's technology strategy and overseeing the delivery of complex technical solutions. Ken left MCG Health in February 2021 to pursue other opportunities.

Ken Kolchier is an expert in Python, Ruby, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Composer/Airflow, Postgres, Terraform/Terragrunt. Ken has used these skills to manage, architect, and code a majority of the complex and critical data engineering integrations and efforts throughout their career. Ken is also experienced in coordinating multiple stakeholders with different product needs, managing external contract teams, and hiring and managing technology employees.

Ken Kolchier completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at California State University, Northridge. Ken then transferred to Pierce College where they took various studies, including Computer Science courses. Later, they transferred to Santa Monica College where they took various studies, including Computer Science courses. Finally, they completed their liberal general education requirements at the University of California, Los Angeles. Ken Kolchier is also certified by the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and by Sun/Oracle as a Sun Certified Java Associate (SCJA) and Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP).
