Erik Hajnal

Erik Hajnal is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in information security, particularly within software engineering contexts. Currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Security Engineering at Tradeshift since May 2015, Erik leads application and infrastructure security teams and fosters a positive security culture among developers. Previous roles include Manager of Application Security and Senior Application Security Engineer, where Erik implemented security initiatives and oversaw critical technical programs like bug bounty and penetration testing. With a strong educational foundation, including a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Copenhagen and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Erik combines technical expertise with leadership and a passion for making security engaging and accessible.
