Alvaro Enrique Ugalde Zamora

Alvaro Enrique Ugalde Zamora has extensive experience in software development and engineering. Alvaro Enrique currently holds two positions at TradeStation, starting in 2021. As an Ingeniero de software superior nivel 3 and an Ingeniero de desarrollo de software nivel III, they are responsible for defining requirements, designing and architecting software solutions, and validating and verifying new customer accounts using various tools and technologies such as AWS, DynamoDB, Postgres, Lambda Functions, Kubernetes, .NET Core, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, CI/CD, and Serverless.

Before joining TradeStation, Alvaro worked at Intel from 2015 to 2023 as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. In this role, they gathered software requirements, designed and implemented applications for IT infrastructure configuration, and led a development team. Alvaro Enrique was also involved in customer communications and worked as a scrum master, technical lead, developer, and release implementer.

Prior to their time at Intel, Alvaro worked as a Project Manager and Software Engineer at Critech Research Inc from 2013 to 2015. Alvaro Enrique was responsible for developing software for medical devices, including creating requirements specifications, architectural designs, and test cases.

From 2007 to 2013, Alvaro worked at BLR as a Software Engineer, where they developed and provided software for the gaming industry. Alvaro Enrique'sprojects focused on creating products capable of operating 24/7 and handling a large number of users.

At UNED, Alvaro worked as a Software Developer from 2005 to 2007, primarily focusing on administrative functions in the human resources area. Alvaro Enrique designed and developed a Human Resources and Payroll System, including an accounting system for wage payments.

Finally, Alvaro worked as a Software Developer at Grupo Asesor in 2004. Here, they updated the main system of inventory, accounting, warehouse, and administration to support multi-language capability for the British American Tobacco Company.

Alvaro Enrique Ugalde Zamora obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering in the field of Software Engineering from Tecnológico de Costa Rica in 2004. Alvaro Enrique continued their education at the same institution and completed a Master's degree in Telematics, which began in 2000 and is expected to be completed by 2025. In addition to their formal education, Alvaro has obtained several certifications from various institutions. In September 2018, they completed the SSCP Cert Prep: 1 Access Controls certification from Lynda.com. Alvaro Enrique also obtained the Python Essential Training, C#: Design Patterns, Learning Git and GitHub, and Cert Prep: ITIL Foundations certifications in 2018 from Lynda.com. Prior to that, Alvaro acquired the CCNA certification from Cisco in December 2017.
