Software Engineer III Principal Software Engineer at TradeStation

Carlos Hidalgo has a diverse work experience starting from 2001 to the present. Carlos worked as a Web Developer at Ticonet.com from 2001 to 2002, where they were responsible for planning, developing, and implementing internet websites and intranet apps. From 2002 to 2005, they worked at Evertec as an Analyst, where they planned, developed, and implemented credit card and electronic payments processing systems for financial clients. Carlos then worked as a Senior Analyst from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2013, Carlos worked at Western Union as a Senior Application Developer, where they planned, developed, and implemented internal corporate systems and provided support for third-party tools. In 2014, they joined Experian as a Tool Automation Developer, where they created tools using ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, C#, IIS, LDAP, and SQL Server. Carlos has been working at TradeStation since 2014, initially as a Software Engineer II and currently as a Software Engineer III/Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they participated in project planning, estimations, architecture proposals, code reviews, recruitment process, and mentoring new team members. Carlos also continued with development and implementation tasks using various technologies and services such as NodeJS, React, Docker, Kubernetes, .NET, C#, Golang, Amazon Web Services, and more.

Carlos Hidalgo completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) from 1996 to 2000. Later, from 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Licentiate degree in Project Management from Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica. In addition to their formal education, Carlos obtained the certification of Certified SAFe 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2023.
