Jon Hutton

Jon Hutton serves as the Executive Director of WWF Landscapes at WWF International since June 2024. With a distinguished academic career, Jon holds the position of Professor of Natural Resource Management at the University of Kent and is a Bye-Fellow at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge. As a Board Member of TRAFFIC since September 2020, Jon contributes to wildlife trade issues. Previously, Jon was the Chief Conservation Officer at WWF, leading global conservation strategies, and has held various significant roles, including Chair of the IUCN Red List and Director at the Luc Hoffmann Institute. Educationally, Jon earned a D.Phil in Zoology from the University of Zimbabwe and an MA in Applied Biology from the University of Cambridge.
