Michael Worthington

Michael Worthington currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Cyber Security Manager at Trafford Council since September 2022. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Information Security Specialist at Hopwood Hall College from April 2017 to September 2022. Michael's career began at Tesco PLC in November 2013, where employment started as an IT Technician and progressed to Technical and Customer Service Manager, overseeing a team of over 15 staff. Educational qualifications include a Higher National Diploma in Computing (Cyber Security) from Sheffield Hallam University, an Associate's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and IT from Loreto Sixth Form College, an Apprenticeship in Retail (Specialist) from the Federation for European Education, and additional training from Colossal Maritime.
