Ben Cooper

Ben Cooper serves as the Group Head of Compliance at Trafigura since December 2013, overseeing the compliance department and advising the board on strategic issues. Prior to this, Ben held the position of Global Head of Regulation and Special Projects at Trafigura, managing a legal team focused on financial regulatory advice across multiple jurisdictions. Ben's experience includes senior legal roles at BP, where responsibilities encompassed financial services and regulatory compliance, and at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, providing legal counsel in the Wealth Management sector. Ben began a legal career at UBS Wealth Management, offering legal risk management and support. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Oxford Brookes University.
