Pratik Ray Chowdhury has a diverse work experience in the maritime logistics and shipping industry. Pratik first worked at TM International Logistics Ltd as an Assistant Manager Chartering from March 2003 to May 2005. Pratik then joined d’Amico Shipping Group and served as a Chartering Manager from June 2005 to September 2012. Pratik then moved to Trafigura and held the position of Head of Dry Freight trading desk, Asia from October 2012 to present. Pratik currently holds the position of Director at Trafigura Maritime Logistics Pte Ltd, a role they started in August 2019.
Pratik Ray Chowdhury holds an Executive MBA degree from S P Jain School of Global Management, with a focus on finance, derivatives, and options. Pratik also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from RV College of Engineering. Additionally, they completed their AISSC degree in Science from Birla High School, Kolkata. Pratik further holds a Fellowship (FICS) from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, specializing in dry cargo chartering, sale and purchase of ships, maritime economics, and FMA.
