Sumair Shaikh

Sumair Shaikh, CPA, currently serves as the North America Regional Tax Manager at Trafigura, a position held since October 2012, where responsibilities include managing direct tax accounting, federal and state tax compliance, audits, planning, M&A tax planning, and tax reform. Prior to this role, Sumair was a Direct Tax Manager and a Senior Tax Analyst focusing on state and local income tax, motor fuel excise tax, sales and use tax, VAT, and property tax. Earlier experience includes working as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte Tax LLP from October 2010 to September 2012 as an Indirect Tax Analyst. Sumair holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown, completed in 2008.
