Joe Kurian

Joe Kurian has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Joe began their career in 1999 as a Business Analyst in Product Development at Financial Technologies (India) Ltd. Joe then co-founded Trellis Labs P Ltd in 2000, and in 2001 joined GE Capital (now Genpact) as a Manager of Analytics Consumer Lending. In 2006, they moved to Wells Fargo Bank as a Senior Analyst and Credit Risk Manager in Retail Sales Finance/Payments. Joe then joined HSBC in 2010 as an AVP in Risk Management for Retail Sales Finance/Payments. In 2016, they became an Advisor at Menerva Software, and in 2021 they co-founded TRaiCE, where they are responsible for setting the overall product vision, data strategy, feature engineering, and guiding the analytics team through the product development life cycle. Joe also works to integrate the latest fintech technologies into product workflows for their clients.

Joe Kurian's education history includes a Master of Philosophy from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in Economics from 1997 to 1999. Joe then obtained a Master of Science from Chapman University in Computational and Data Sciences. Joe also earned a Master of Science from Pondicherry University in Development Economics, Economtrics, Statistics, and Mathematics. Joe Kurian's undergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Arts from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam in Economics and Statistics, as well as a Pre-Degree from the same institution in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from 1990 to 1992.
