Mark Tegtmeier

Mark Tegtmeier is the founder and head of design at Trailmerge. Mark has also previously founded the Institute and served as the director of user experience at UserIQ. At General Assembly, they were a lead instructor for the UX Design Immersive course. In this role, they were responsible for crafting and delivering an active learning experience for a 10-week immersive course. Mark also provided mentorship related to careers in UX, individual growth areas, design project planning, and soft skills like time management, shifting mindsets, and conflict resolution. In addition, they set cohort culture and managed expectations, evaluated performance and behavior, delivered timely and actionable feedback, and built teams of designers whose strengths complement each other for successful group projects.

Mark Tegtmeier first attended North Coast High School, where they completed their high school diploma. Mark then went on to study at Seattle Pacific University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies with a Spanish major and French minor.
