Alastair Gourlay has a diverse work experience in finance and consulting. Alastair started their career at KPMG, where they completed an internship in 2008. Alastair then joined Deloitte as an Associate in 2013, before moving on to become a Consultant in the Energy and Resources Business Tax team. At Deloitte, they focused on mergers and acquisitions, (re)structuring, tax audit, and compliance services for various UK and international clients. In 2016, Alastair joined Glencore as a Controller. Alastair later joined Trainline in 2018, initially working as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst. Alastair progressed to roles including Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Senior FP&A Manager, and is currently serving as the Head of FP&A.
Alastair Gourlay attended the University of Bristol from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Economics and Accounting. Alastair also obtained additional certifications from the Association of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), although the specific dates of these certifications are not provided.
