Irem C.

Irem C. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They started their career in 2010 as an Analyst at State of Flux, where they managed offshore teams and conducted research projects for FTSE 100 clients. In 2012, they joined TripAdvisor as an SEM Analyst, working with various search engines. After a year, they moved on to Hotels.com as a Senior SEM Specialist, responsible for migrating bidding tools and managing P&L for EMEA.

In 2014, Irem C. returned to TripAdvisor in different roles, including as an Optimizer, Senior Optimizer, and Senior SEM Analyst. They worked on optimizing the meta-auction for major B2B clients, managing multiple traffic placements, and developing bidding algorithms. They also had full P&L responsibility for Eurasian markets and achieved significant YoY growth in mobile traffic.

Irem C. then joined Essence in 2018 as a Business Director, overseeing digital activities for EE, including search, social, and programmatic channels. They managed a team, executed cross-channel testing, and implemented automation and technology projects. In 2020, they joined Deliveroo as the Head of SEM, responsible for running the global SEM program in 11 markets with multi-million budgets. They collaborated with marketing technology and data science teams for testing and automation.

In 2022, Irem C. worked at Cleo as the Head of Performance Marketing before moving to Trainline as the Head of PPC/Acting Director of Performance Marketing in 2023.

Irem C. has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Labour Economics and Industrial Relations from Ankara University which was obtained between 2001 and 2005. Then, between 2005 and 2006, Irem pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in European Political Sociology at Dalarna University. From 2007 to 2009, Irem attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Employment Relations and Human Resource Management. Currently, Irem is studying at The Open University, working towards a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Creative Writing, which began in 2019 and is expected to continue until 2025.
