Kristin Akervall

Kristin Akervall has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kristin is currently working as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Contractor at Trakstar since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Council President at the City of Wilsonville, Oregon. In this role, they were an elected official and played a key role in identifying community needs and establishing goals and policy direction. Kristin held multiple positions and responsibilities within the City Council, City Budget Committee, and various task forces.

Before their role in government, Akervall worked as a Data and Accreditation Analyst at Lewis & Clark College from August 2015 to 2019. Their responsibilities included gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources to provide reports for accrediting bodies and other stakeholders. Kristin also managed the course evaluation system for the graduate school and provided support to faculty, staff, and students.

From 2013 to 2015, Akervall worked as a Sales Operations Specialist at gDiapers. In this role, they managed EDI data flow, oversaw order fulfillment operations, and created analytic reporting to track sales and promotions. Prior to that, they worked as a Director of Research Projects at The Austen Group from June 2008 to September 2013. In this position, they provided institutional research services to colleges and universities, managed projects examining efficiency in college operations, and communicated with C-suite level clients.

Akervall's earlier experience includes roles such as Direct Marketing Analyst at Grand European Tours from May 2007 to May 2008, and Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Assistant Director of Alumni Communications at Willamette University from June 2005 to May 2007. Kristin also worked as an Assistant Area Coordinator at Willamette University from August 2003 to May 2004.

Kristin Akervall completed their Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University, graduating with honors in Anthropology and Music in 2004. Kristin then pursued further education and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business Analytics from Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management, starting in 2019 and completing it in 2022. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate of Advanced Study in Data Science from Syracuse University School of Information Studies, which they pursued from 2019 to 2021.
