Adheel Ismail

Adheel Ismail is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in founding and managing companies in the Maldives. As Co-Founder and Managing Director of Velana Hotels since December 2015, and Co-Founder at Atoll Dış Ticaret since July 2022, Ismail has played a pivotal role in the hospitality and trade sectors. In addition, Ismail has been Director at TGS Maldives since September 2010 and serves as Co-Founder and CEO of Think Associates. Ismail's leadership capabilities extend to the aviation industry as Editor of the Inflight Magazine for Trans Maldivian Airways since February 2007, and to public service as Chairman of Business Center Corporation, which supports MSME development. Previous roles include Deputy Commissioner General for the Maldives at Expo 2020 Dubai and Board Member at SME Development Finance Corporation. Ismail's early career included a position as Desk Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from June 2000 to June 2005. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing with Business Economics from Middlesex University.
