Nelson Tonui is an experienced engineering professional specializing in facility integrity management and risk assessment. Currently serving as the Manager of Engineering at Trans Mountain since August 2018, Nelson leads the Facility Integrity Management Program, focusing on the reliability of storage tanks and pipelines. Prior experience includes roles at Kinder Morgan Canada, where responsibilities encompassed facility integrity management and risk assessments for liquid pipelines, and TransCanada Pipelines Ltd., where Nelson conducted pipeline defect assessments. Nelson began their career as an Operations Engineer at KenolKobil Petroleum (K) Ltd, overseeing pipeline operations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering from Moi University.
