Jeremy Young

Jeremy Young has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jeremy currently works as the Chief Commercial Officer at Transamerica Life Bermuda, where they are responsible for leading the commercial aspect of the organization globally. Prior to this, they held roles such as Head of Distribution and Product Strategy at TLB and Head of Sales and Distribution at Transamerica Life Bermuda.

Before joining Transamerica Life Bermuda, Jeremy worked as a Coach and Representative for paddling sports teams at Kamanu Composites. Jeremy also served as a Partner, Consultant, Adviser, and Coach at YourBoard consultancy, where they provided coaching and development services, as well as consulting and advising to the insurance and related industries.

In their earlier career, Jeremy held senior positions at Sun Life Financial, including Chief Marketing Officer for Asia and Chief Marketing Officer for Hong Kong. Jeremy was responsible for brand building, marketing, and customer experience across the region, as well as leading product development and distribution in Hong Kong. Jeremy also worked as the Vice President of Partnership Distribution at Sun Life Hong Kong.

Jeremy's work experience also includes roles at AIA NZ as the Head of Distribution and at Sovereign as a Business Development Manager. Jeremy started their career in the snow ski industry, where they worked as a ski instructor, coach, technical representative, and assistant ski school director.

Additionally, Jeremy has some experience in the fashion industry.

Jeremy Young completed a Diploma in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from The University of Waikato from 1998 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the following: Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge in August 2020, FT Non-Executive Director Diploma - Pearson SRF BTEC Level 7 Advanced Professional Diploma from the FT Board Director Programme in May 2020, Squared Online from Squared Online in June 2017, Accounting for Non Accountants from the New Zealand Institute of Management in August 2005, Business Financial Services (Business Owner / SME Insurance certification) from Adviserlink in April 2003, and Examiner Alpine and Telemark, Demonstration team member, Technical manual contributor from the New Zealand Snow Sports Instructors Alliance in September 1993.
