As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading an experienced team of Engineers, shaping and influencing architecture decisions, introducing new technologies, and assisting in the expansion of the team. You would be leading our Crime Fighting tribe, responsible for keeping both our customers and the company safe. You’ll have a chance to help us build innovative solutions in fraud prevention, risk modelling, and anti-money laundering.

Here’s what you’ll be doing as Engineering Manager:

  • Leading a team of experienced Engineers within the Crime Fighting domain
  • Collaborating closely with Product Management to translate the product roadmap into actionable engineering delivery plans
  • Owning the engineering team's execution plan, deliverables, and quality
  • Mentoring and coaching Engineers to foster professional growth and development
  • Cultivating a positive team culture and work environment
  • Ensuring the delivery of domain-specific technology that aligns with TransferGo's overarching engineering strategy
  • Advocating for engineering excellence by establishing key metrics and promoting continuous operational enhancements
  • Actively participating in the evolution and implementation of TransferGo's engineering strategy, contributing to foundational reworks within your domain

You’ll report to our Technical Project Director.

Here’s what we’d love from our new Engineering Manager:

  • Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritising work with the customers in mind and making data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points 
  • Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience 
  • Knowledge in .NET or PHP or  similar backend language with a firm foundation of coding fundamentals 
  • Understands and adheres to best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback 
  • Highly autonomous with a tenacious problem-solving mindset 
  • Has led full cycle development on medium/large scale engineering projects
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience

And if you can also do this stuff, even better: 

  • Experience with or understanding of the regulatory impact (KYC, AML, Fraud) on Financial services industry would be a big plus
  • Hands-on experience in breaking down monoliths and introducing new technologies into the mix

The monthly salary starts from 6500 € (gross) and up depending on the level of experience.
