Jean-Marc Balloul

Director Innovation & Partnership at Transgene

Jean-Marc Balloul has a long and diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and immunology. Jean-Marc started their career at Institut Pasteur de Lille in 1982 as a Project Leader until 1987. Later, they joined Transgene in 1989 as a Scientist Virology and held this position until 1995. From 1995 to 2007, they served as the Project Leader for TG4001 HPV Therapeutic Vaccine. Jean-Marc then became the Molecular Immunology Department Head from 1999 to 2006. In 2007, Jean-Marc Balloul took on the role of Director New Venture Development at Transgene and continued in this position until 2014. Jean-Marc later became the Director of Innovation & Partnership at the same company. Overall, they have gained extensive experience in various roles and sectors within the biotechnology field.

From 1982 to 1987, Jean-Marc Balloul attended the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Biochimie et biologie moléculaire.
