Andrew Balkin

Andrew Balkin is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in cartography and spatial data analysis. Currently serving as a GIS Cartographer at Transglobal Services LLC since July 2021, Andrew previously held roles including GIS Analyst at LJA Engineering, Inc. and NCS GIS Data Editor at BNSF Railway, where responsibilities included creating detailed land analysis layouts and editing GIS data. Andrew's experience also encompasses GIS Coordinator for the City of Friendswood, managing all GIS-related needs for city departments, and GIS Analyst for the City of Baltimore, focusing on the coordination and development of spatial databases. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The University of Texas at Austin, completed between 2005 and 2008.
