Alan Miller MD, PhD has an extensive work experience in the field of oncology and clinical research. Alan is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Translational Drug Development (TD2) since September 2022. Prior to these roles, Dr. Miller held leadership positions at various organizations. From 2020 to present, they were the President of Rocky Mountain Oncology Society, where they played a crucial role in planning continuing education and reviewing legislation related to the oncology community.

From 2017 to 2022, Dr. Miller worked at SCL Health as the Chief Medical Director of Oncology and Associate Chief Medical Director of Research. In this role, they led a multi-state oncology program and oversaw clinical research programs for all medical specialties across an 8-hospital system. Alan also built a system-wide multispecialty clinical trials network.

Prior to that, Dr. Miller served as the Chief of Oncology and Cancer Center Director at Baylor Scott & White Health from 2008 to 2017. Alan directed the clinical aspects and growth of a multidisciplinary cancer center and developed a system-wide oncology network.

At Tulane University, Dr. Miller held the position of Associate Senior VP for Health Sciences, VP for Clinical Affairs, and Director Marrow Transplant from 1993 to 2008. During this time, they played a key role in rebuilding the university and hospital after Hurricane Katrina, relocating faculty and staff, and finding alternative education venues for students.

Dr. Alan Miller obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Alan pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell Physiology from the State University of NY at Buffalo Roswell Park Division, which they completed between 1972 and 1976. As for their postgraduate degree in Medicine, they studied at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Alan Miller received the honor of being listed in the Marquis Who's Who as an Honored Listee in April 2023.
