Karen Horcher

Karen Horcher is a financial professional whose career encompasses treasury, capital markets, and financial risk management for some of the world’s largest organizations.

Ms. Horcher chairs the finance and audit committee of the board of Telefilm Canada, a federal Crown corporation developing and promoting the Canadian audiovisual industry. She is the second vice chair of CPA British Columbia and serves on its governance committee, and she serves on CPA Canada’s advisory board for sustainable businesses. From 2008 to 2018, she served on the board of Pacific Pilotage Authority, chairing the audit committee and the safety and operating review committee.

Based in Vancouver, Ms. Horcher provides consulting in finance and treasury for global companies and regulators. She is part of the executive education faculty at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, the author of several finance books, and has contributed to many leading publications.

Ms. Horcher is a Fellow of CPA BC (FCPA, FCGA), a CFA charterholder, and has an economics degree from the University of Toronto.
