Sophia Portas

Sophia Portas is a Product Designer and Frontend Web Developer currently working at Transmax Pty Ltd since September 2020, where responsibilities include web design, development of new features, and implementing release package pipelines. Prior experience includes roles as a Junior Engineer at Hatch, focusing on digital systems integration, and a Student Web Developer/Designer at The University of Queensland, where contributions included creating an internal design system using Vue. An internship with the Department of Justice and Attorney-General involved project management for a chatbot project, and notable achievements include winning a hackathon with a neighbourhood dispute resolution chatbot. Previous leadership roles at Robogals Brisbane included serving as President and Partnerships Manager, while initial professional experience was gained as a UI/UX Designer at Tanda. Sophia holds an Integrated Bachelor and Masters of Engineering from The University of Queensland and studied Informatics at the Technical University of Munich.
