George Young has a strong background in operations and logistics. George started their career at Shaw Industries as a Distribution Supervisor and worked there for five years. After that, they joined M&W Distribution Services as an Industrial Engineer/Project Manager for two years. George then moved to Siemens Energy & Automation as a Distribution Operations Inbound Manager for six years. Following this, they joined TranSouth Logistics, LLC as a Regional Logistics Manager and later as a Day Operations Manager. At TranSouth Logistics, they achieved significant accomplishments, including reducing operating expenses, implementing safety management programs, and improving order accuracy. George then became an Operations Manager, where they were responsible for warehouse and cross-docking facilities over a four-state territory and achieved an OSHA incident rate of 3.44. Finally, George became the Director of Operations at TranSouth Logistics, where they had full P&L responsibility for operations across a seven-state region and successfully implemented a new customer strategy for job site deliveries.

George Young has a Bachelor's degree in Management from the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business. George also holds a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Corporate Finance from the Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Lean Supply Chain Professional from the Georgia Tech Professional Education's Logistics Institute in May 2015.
