Chris Sproston

Chris Sproston has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Chris began their career as a Development Manager at United Co-operatives from 1998 to 2007. Chris then moved on to become the Head of Software Development at The Co-operative Group from 2007 to 2012, where they were responsible for driving business value and agility through enhanced IT solutions.

Following that, Chris worked as a Non Executive Director at Godel Technologies Europe for a brief period in 2013. Chris also served as a Strategic Consultant (Interim) at the University of Salford during the same year.

From 2013 to 2018, Chris held the position of Head of IT Data, Architecture & Development at Police Mutual, overseeing the delivery of various IT solutions for the organization. During this time, they were also the Owner/Consultant at SPROTECH CONSULTING LIMITED, specializing in senior IT management and leadership across multiple retail verticals, as well as working in higher education.

In 2018, Chris took on the role of Group Chief Technology Officer at Entertainment Magpie Limited, where they led the technology function of the company until 2019.

Since 2020, Chris has been working at Transport for Greater Manchester, initially as the Head of Technology (Interim) and later transitioning to the role of Head Of Technology in 2021.

Additionally, in 2016, Chris founded Streamline Nutrition, a company that offers personalized nutritional advice and treatments.
