Claire Burgio

Claire Burgio serves as the Director of Government Business and Services and the Director of Talent Programs at Transport for NSW since June 2019, focusing on creating meaningful career opportunities through various award-winning programs, including those for Aboriginal employment and career transitions. Achievements include increasing team engagement to 80% as per PMES results in 2023 and advancing the Reconciliation Action Plan for improved Aboriginal employment outcomes. Prior roles include Director of Communications and Engagement, and Principal Manager Communication and Engagement at Roads and Maritime Services, where impactful campaigns were developed for the largest division in Transport, including Sydney Trains. Additional experience includes various managerial roles in customer services, communications, and project management at Roads and Maritime Services and the State Transit Authority of NSW, along with a brief stint as a lecturer at Australian Catholic University. Claire Burgio holds a double Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Communications, and History from the University of Sydney and Australian Catholic University.
