Currently serving as General Manager at the Transport General Authority since October 2022, Rayan previously held the position of Director of Transportation Planning at the Royal Commission for Makkah City & Holy Sites from December 2020 to November 2022. Rayan also contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at Umm Al-Qura University and served as CEO of Hand By Hand USA. Rayan's educational background includes a Ph.D. and a Master's in Transportation Engineering from The Catholic University of America, along with a Smart City credential from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Umm Al-Qura University.
