Aidan Smyth

Aidan Smyth holds extensive experience in the field of electronic and systems engineering, currently serving as a Senior Electronic Technician for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) since June 2012, where responsibilities include managing the installation, operations, and maintenance of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) equipment. Aidan previously managed the ITS Equipment Maintenance Contract and was integral to TII's Network Operations Section. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Technician at the merged NRA/RPA organization, an Instrumentation Electrician at Tara Mines Ltd., an Electronics Technician at Welch Allyn Ltd., and a Clerical Assistant at Revenue. Aidan's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Industrial Engineering from South East Technical University (SETU) scheduled for completion in 2026, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Griffith College Dublin.
