Lauren Rafferty

Lauren Rafferty is a seasoned management and program analyst currently employed by the U.S. Department of Transportation in the Safety Measurement and Analysis Division since June 2023. Prior to this role, Lauren served as a customer education content manager at Workhuman from February 2022 to June 2023. Lauren has extensive experience in instructional design, having worked with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center while at Changeis, Inc. and DIGITALiBiz, Inc., where responsibilities included developing training and communication materials. Lauren's earlier experience includes roles in marketing and outreach coordination at The Boston Synagogue, editorial internships at Boston Magazine and The Pohly Company, and editorial positions at The Orion during academic years at California State University, Chico. Academically, Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Publishing and Writing from Emerson College and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from California State University, Chico, complemented by a study abroad experience at the University of Reading.
