Lu Wang

Lu Wang, PhD, is an accomplished data scientist with a robust background in polymer chemistry and data analytics. Currently at Transportation Insight since October 2022, Lu Wang has developed an advanced NLP-based Named Entity Recognition model that enhances dynamic pricing mechanisms and automates email interactions for spot freight quotes. Prior experience at Houston Methodist spanned five years, where Lu Wang constructed regression models in Python to optimize radiopharmaceutical manufacturing based on patient demand. Lu Wang's academic tenure includes postdoctoral fellow positions at Colorado State University and Penn State University, focusing on catalyst systems and polymer ionomers, respectively. Educational credentials include a PhD in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry from Henan University.
