Marcus Houston

Marcus Houston's work experience begins as a Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Transportation Insight, starting in 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Director of Enterprise Sales at the same company, where they managed teams and focused on delivering transportation solutions. Marcus also worked as a Director of Supply Chain at Lee Industries Inc, where they handled purchasing, carrier negotiations, design layouts, fleet management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Marcus co-founded and served as a partner at Z Box Mattress and The Zeida Company, LLC, where they focused on sales solutions and representation for various markets. In addition, Marcus co-founded and served as the COO of Carolina Accessory Concepts, which was eventually acquired by SOFE Media Group. At Transportation Insight, they previously held roles as a Manager of Client Services, Logistics Manager, and Business Analyst. Prior to their professional career, Marcus held leadership positions in clubs and organizations during their time at Appalachian State University. Marcus also gained experience as a Sales and Operations Management Intern at Bumgarner Investment Group.

Marcus Houston attended Appalachian State University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Marketing. In addition to their degree, Marcus also holds certifications in Six Sigma, including a Black Belt Certification (BB) obtained in March 2017 and a Green Belt Certification (GB) obtained in February 2016.
