Tom Sekel

Tom Sekel has over thirty years of work experience in various leadership roles in finance, information technology, accounting, operations, and human resources. Tom has worked for both international and domestic corporations in a range of industries. Tom was the Founder of Pad Team, a company that provides flexible financial and administrative advisory services. Tom also worked as the Chief Financial Officer, COO, and Senior Managing Partner at SmartCore Business Solutions, LLC from 2009 to 2018. Additionally, they served as the CFO and COO at Troxler Labs from 2005 to 2008. Tom Sekel has also held the position of Vice President Finance at Bespak from 1993 to 2001, and Vice President/CFO at Kanthal Corporation from 1987 to 1993. In recent years, they have held roles as a Business Broker at Transworld Business Advisors and a Real Estate Broker at The NC Real Estate Firm, LLC. Tom Sekel has gained experience in raising venture capital and securing various types of debt instruments during their tenure as the Chief Financial Officer at Oriel Therapeutics.

Tom Sekel completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Rochester Institute of Technology from 1969 to 1971. Tom then pursued further education by obtaining an MBA degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting from the University of Connecticut School of Business between 1982 and 1986.
