Mandy P.

Mandy P. is an experienced educator currently serving as an Academically and Intellectually Gifted Specialist at Transylvania County Schools since August 2020. Mandy has a solid background in teaching English, having held positions as a High School English Teacher at Irmo High School and as an 8th Grade ELA Teacher at Hand Middle School and Darlington Middle School, where responsibilities included fostering growth among honors students. Prior experience includes roles as an ECDP Assistant Teacher at the Jewish Community Center of Syracuse and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Penn State University, where Mandy also managed social media for the Creative Writing Department. Mandy holds an M.A.T. in Secondary English Education from Marywood University and two degrees from Penn State University: a Master of Arts in English/Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Creative Writing.
