Dana Shaeffer has extensive work experience in the transportation industry. Dana worked as a Sr. Transit Project Manager at TranSystems since 2016, where they assisted the Federal Railroad Administration with grant management oversight in the East region of the U.S. Prior to that, at Amtrak from 2010 to 2016, they held various roles including Program Manager for the Gateway Program Development, where they managed a team for tasks related to the development of the Gateway Program. Dana also served as the Program Director for Systems Integration, ensuring coordination among different engineering systems. Before joining Amtrak, Dana worked as a Project Engineer at AECOM, specializing in freight rail projects from 2000 to 2010.
Dana Shaeffer completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from Drexel University between 1997 and 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE) with a specialization in Civil Engineering-Structures at Villanova University from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Dana Shaeffer obtained the Professional Engineer certification (PE074435) in February 2007.
