Shunji Jiang, P.E. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of civil engineering. Shunji started their career in 2010 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Central South University, where they conducted research on the development and application of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) prestressed devices. In 2011, they completed an undergraduate engineering internship in surveying at Changsha Subway Construction, where they performed settlement monitoring surveys and managed risks for tunnel construction.

Afterwards, Shunji worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Empa (Swiss Federal Laboratories of Material Science and Technology) from 2013 to 2014. During this time, they conducted an experimental study on pavement materials and flexible sealing components, performed laboratory tests, and led finite element analysis and modeling.

In 2014, Shunji became a Lab Teaching Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, where they demonstrated and supervised lab sessions for instruments used in non-destructive evaluations.

From 2015 to 2016, Shunji worked as a Civil/Roadway Engineer at TranSystems, where they completed roadway design tasks and coordinated with teams in other disciplines for multi-discipline projects.

In 2016, Shunji returned to TranSystems as a Structural/Bridge Engineer, responsible for structural design and calculations for bridge projects, load rating analysis, and the preparation of contract plans and cost estimates.

Shunji Jiang, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Central South University in the years 2008 to 2012. From the years 2012 to 2014, Shunji pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2013, they also participated in the International Co-ops program at ETH Zürich, focusing on Roadway Engineering Laboratory studies.

Shunji Jiang, P.E. possesses an OSHA 10 certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, earned in 2015. Shunji obtained the Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) certification from the Georgia State Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors in 2014.
