The Channel Sales II role is responsible for managing and developing sales of Tranter products and services by developing business channels, including wholesalers, distributors, agents, integrators, system builders, and service partners. The position is based in the U.S.A. and falls under the Sales department.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Assist in developing a sales strategy for your region(s) that are in alignment with company objectives

  • Assist in establishing a sales budget and forecasting

  • Achieving sales key metrics and objectives, managing CRM, and driving market development.

  • Quote follow-up as needed.

  • Managing the development, engagement, and objectives of our Channel Partners.

  • Drive market development, engagement, expectations, and accountabilities of our Channel Partners

  • Following Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and policies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities involve:

  • Direct responsibility for "A" channel partners and support for "B" & "C" channel partners.

  • Formulating and implementing sales plans, updating business channels agreements, and identifying new sales representatives or channels.

  • Responsible to update and implement business channels agreements/structure for appointed wholesalers and distributors independently

  • Analyzing channel partners' motivation and buying behavior, and engaging sales representatives for growth.

  • Responsible for channel Business Development

  • Identify and develop Channel Partners in new markets/channels

  • Engage sales representatives/channel partners for growth and business plan

  • Identify key factors to grow the sales at each channel and to motive the channel to prioritize Tranter product sales

  • Providing oversight to the collection and reporting of channel management statistics and standardizing channel evaluation tools.

  • Responsible for standardization of channel evaluation tool/programs 

    • Coaching sales representatives and continually reviewing their performance against KPIs.
    • Continual review of sales representatives’ performance against KPI’s and territory
  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for the region

  • Pro-actively engage sales representatives with social media selling such as webinars, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Expected travel 50% - 75%.

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies required include strong sales analysis skills, effective communication, understanding and modeling Tranter Core Values, and demonstrating leadership skills.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • An accredited university degree in Engineering.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in sales and sales management with technical equipment sales.
  • Experience managing a regional sales territory with approximately $5+ million in annual sales revenue.
  • Experience with various sales tools (i.g. CRM, ERP, etc)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with various sales tools (e.g., CRM, ERP).
