Modeled to look like an Italian train station, VILLAGIO, meaning “village” in Italian, is located on historic Main Street, in the old Buckley Brothers'​ store (built circa 1900), just steps away from the active Norfolk-Southern rail line. Much has changed since Buckley Brothers, once the largest store between Alexandria and Front Royal, advertised “everything from a pin to a plow”. VILLAGIO now sits comfortably on the ground floor in the space which the popular restaurant, Heart In Hand, once occupied. The Silva family opened VILLAGIO in Fall-2013 with expectations of becoming a buzzing neighborhood hotspot with something for everyone. VILLAGIO combines the elegance of an Italian trattoria with the fun of a bustling Italian train station. Open every day, VILLAGIO is perfect for a quick snack, a lingering meal, a big group, a family night out, or even a large social gathering. With marble-topped standing tables, the trattoria area is great for meeting new people and for grabbing drinks and antipasti with a group of friends. The classic dining room seats over 100 guests and the lively music and cool vibe bring everyone a smile from their first bite of salumi or brick oven pizza to the last spoonful of fresh-homemade pasta.
