Brianna McBride

Policy Advisor, Commissioner Ann Howard at Travis County

Brianna McBride currently serves as a Policy Advisor to Commissioner Ann Howard at Travis County, a position held since December 2023. Previously, Brianna was an RGK Center CONNECT Fellow at the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service, focusing on data activation and capacity building within community organizations. Brianna also gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Vice President for Student Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, contributing to programs that enhance student life. A Program Founder for "Intro to Black UT," Brianna developed an admissions program to connect prospective and current Black students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional roles at The University of Texas at Austin included Admissions Ambassador and Recruitment Chair, Black Student Retention Program Coordinator, and Texas Student Recruiter. Brianna holds a Master of Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Leadership, Government from The University of Texas at Austin, with a brief educational experience at the University of Cape Town in 2019.
