Michael Levy has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Starting in 1992, they worked as an Attorney at Raymond H. Levy, Inc. until 2000. Following that, they served as a Senior Staff Counsel at the State Water Resources Control Board from 2000 to 2010. From 2010 to 2014, they were the Chief Counsel at the California Energy Commission. Michael then became the Secretary/Chief Counsel at the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board from 2014 to 2015. Subsequently, they worked as the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation at the California Department of Insurance from 2015 to 2020. In 2020, they joined Thomson Reuters as a Co Author and also started working at Travis Credit Union, where they served as General Counsel and was later promoted to Senior Vice President and General Counsel.
Michael Levy earned their A.B. in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, from 1984 to 1988. Afterward, they attended the University of San Diego School of Law from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained their JD degree in Law. Later, in 1998, they attended Lewis & Clark Law School for a year, completing an LL.M. in Environmental Law/Natural Resources.
