Matt Beaton

Matt Beaton serves as Senior Vice President of Renewable Energy and Emerging Technologies at TRC Companies, Inc. since May 2019. Prior to this role, Matt held the position of Secretary for the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from January 2011 to April 2019, overseeing multiple departments and serving as Chairman of various state authorities. Matt's previous experience includes serving as a State Representative focused on legislative priorities in energy, environment, and natural resources, as well as being the Owner of Beaton Kane Construction, which specialized in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Construction. Early in their career, Matt worked as an Environmental Engineer at VHB. Educationally, Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Analysis from Boston University.
