Chris Cowart has 18 years of experience in design, product and business innovation. Chris has held roles in a variety of industries, most recently as Managing Director of the SRI "NSIC" Innovation Center, partnering with Nomura, launching in Q3 2021. In this role, they are solely dedicated to accelerating the adoption of Silicon Valley's disruptive technology innovation processes into corporate Japan.
Prior to this, they were Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer at Treasure8, where they were responsible for business innovation, strategy, and shared leadership. From 2014-2020, they held the role of Venture Partner at Montage Ventures, leveraging their design, brand, UX, and product expertise across seed stage startups to guide them through the creation to launch process and key decision moments. Chris also served as Core Faculty at Singularity University from 2014-2020.
From 2011-2015, Chris was a consultant at their own firm, Chris Cowart Consulting, providing design and business innovation services. During this time, they also served as an Investment Advisor and Board Member at a Family Office, Editor at Attention Span Media LLC, and Advisor at Faraday Bicycles. From 2015-2018, they were Chief Product Officer at Parasail Health, creating meaningful product experiences using financial instruments to support patients.
Chris Cowart received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University in 1993. Prior to that, they attended Ransom Everglades High School from 1985 to 1989. In 2006, they obtained a Master's Degree in Business and Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
