Sabah Muhammad is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Legislative and Policy Counsel at the Treatment Advocacy Center, focusing on enhancing civil commitment laws for severe mental illnesses since December 2019. Treatment Advocacy Center is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to the timely and effective treatment of severe mental illness (SMI). The organization promotes laws, policies, and practices for the delivery of psychiatric care and supports the development of innovative treatments for and research into the causes of severe and persistent psychiatric illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
