Shanti Silver is an experienced research professional with a strong background in psychology and statistics. Currently serving as a Senior AOT Research Advisor at the Treatment Advocacy Center since September 2022, Shanti has previously held roles including Research Associate and Research Assistant at the same organization. Prior experience includes a care worker position and multiple research-related roles at Kenyon College, such as Institutional Research Intern and Psychology Department Research Assistant, along with a brief internship at James Madison University. Treatment Advocacy Center is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to the timely and effective treatment of severe mental illness (SMI). The organization promotes laws, policies, and practices for the delivery of psychiatric care and supports the development of innovative treatments for and research into the causes of severe and persistent psychiatric illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
