George Sheppard

George Sheppard is a Lead Backend Engineer at TreeCard. George has over 10 years of experience working across the stack on various payments platforms. George has a deep understanding of Open Banking and has created numerous mobile handoff functionalities for different platforms. In their previous role as Tech Lead, they were responsible for bringing an agency built Ruby on Rails app in-house and establishing agile practices such as standups, sprints, and sprint planning. George also architected and implemented new application architecture using React for various client side applications and Ruby on Rails to power APIs.

George Sheppard has a Masters in Research from the University of Birmingham in Interactive Digital Media, as well as a Bachelors of Science with Honors from the University of Leeds in Computing.

Their manager is Jamie Cox, Co-Founder & CEO. George Sheppard works with Clay Goodpasture - Operations Manager, Kathy Le - Head of Socials, and Grant LaCorte - Head of Communtiy.
