Ouassila Habi

Ouassila Habi has a significant amount of work experience in the field of research and project management. Ouassila has worked at various companies and held several roles throughout their career.

From 2008 to 2010, Ouassila worked as a Research Associate at King's College London.

Starting in 2010, they joined Cellectis as a Senior Scientist and Team Leader. In this role, they implemented and improved iPSC differentiation programs using gene editing techniques.

In 2012, Ouassila became a Professor at Université Pierre et Marie Curie, where they worked for a year.

In 2013, they joined Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a Research Scientist II. Ouassila was responsible for heading the stem cell and gene editing platforms, developing cell-based assays for disease modeling and compound validation. Ouassila also implemented novel disease-relevant models using primary cells from living patients.

In 2016, Ouassila started working at Sanofi. Ouassila initially held the position of Group and Project Leader at Ksilink, where they led various projects. Later, they took on a Group Leader position at Sanofi, where they focused on stem cells, genome engineering, and project management. Ouassila led transverse collaborations within the company and with Contract Research Organizations (CROs).

Finally, in 2022, Ouassila joined TreeFrog Therapeutics as the Director of Research.

Throughout their career, Ouassila has demonstrated expertise in stem cells, gene editing, disease modeling, and project management.

Ouassila Habi has a strong educational background in the field of medical and biological sciences. Ouassila obtained a DIU degree in Immunology and immunotherapies from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne in the period from 2019 to 2020. Prior to this, they attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2015 to complete their McGill Executive Institut.

Ouassila also has extensive research experience in the field of cardiology, having served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at King's College London until 2010. Ouassila received their Ph.D. in Medicine from Université Laval in 2008, where their research focused on an undisclosed area of medicine. Ouassila completed their Master's degree in Molecular & cellular biology at Pierre and Marie Curie University in 2003 and a Master's degree in Biochemistry from Université Paris Cité in 2002.

Their academic journey began with a Diploma Universitaire d'Études Générales en Sciences from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 2000, emphasizing their early interest in life sciences. Overall, Ouassila has pursued an extensive educational path, focusing predominantly on medical research and related fields of study.
